Quiet kid. Loud point of view.

He’s got questions. You’ve got explaining to do.

Sam takes the mic to make sense of family, politics, faith, money—and all the strange things adults insist are perfectly normal.

Mic check

Sam was just asking.

Short sets. Awkward pauses. Very reasonable questions that somehow make the whole room nervous.

01School fundraising

“My school is raising money for children in need.”

“They gave the box to a child in need, so I think we’re already making progress.”

I was just asking.
02Political principles

“You should always respect the office.”

“Even when the other party remembers where it is?”

I was just asking.
03Family research

“Dad says you can’t believe everything on the internet.”

“He learned that on the internet.”

I was just asking.

Meet Sam

Nervous about the microphone. Not the material.

Sam is smart, a little nerdy, deeply observant, and far too polite to say what he means directly.

He grew up learning that adults can be loving and complicated, confident and completely wrong—all at the same time. So he asks questions. Quietly. Usually right after everyone hoped he wouldn’t.

“I’m not saying it doesn’t make sense. I’m asking you to explain why it doesn’t make sense.”

First set coming soon
